CONTACT LENSES

Contact lenses offer an amazing alternative to spectacles and in recent years new technology has allowed more people to enjoy them than ever before. Contact lenses offer freedom and convenience that can be life-changing for people who prefer not to wear glasses. With many new types of lenses and different options to suit your lifestyle, we are confident you’ll be able to find an option that works for you. If you think contact lenses might be right for you whatever your eye type or routine, get in touch and we’ll give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.

CONTACT LENS ASSESSMENTS

Before you start wearing contact lenses, it is important for an optometrist to examine your eyes and confirm that you can use them safely and comfortably. At a contact lens assessment, your optometrist makes sure you are a good candidate for contact lenses, collects all the information they need to recommend lenses for your eyes and asks you about your expectations and plans for using contacts. You will also have the opportunity to try on lenses, so you can see how they feel and learn about how to apply and remove them.

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CONTACT LENSES

There are a wide variety of contact lenses with different materials, designs and usages. This helps us to fit every new client with lenses that work well with their prescription, eye type and routine. The range includes daily and monthly disposable options, popular soft lenses and specialist designs for specific eye types and conditions. We also offer cutting-edge myopia control options, including Ortho K lenses. These lenses are worn overnight to provide vision correction the next day, while also slowing down the development of myopic vision. We take each client's needs into consideration, so everybody ends up with lenses that are well-suited to their eyes and their lifestyle.

AFTERCARE & ADVICE

During aftercare appointments, your optometrist will assess your vision and ask you about the fit and comfort of your contact lenses. These check-ups allow us to be sure that your contact lenses are still providing you with the best vision correction possible and keeping your eyes healthy. If you are having any issues with your lenses or are looking to make any changes, these appointments are also the perfect place to get expert advice.
